First CNGS double batch extraction from SPS - 8 September 2004 The first attempt to use the new LSS4 extraction channel at the SPS for a double-batch extraction of CNGS-type beam was successful. Low intensity beam of around 1012 protons in each batch was extracted and observed in TT40, up to the TED beam dump. |
